Application Requirements

  1. Applicants must have completed at least 12 years of formal education or equivalent in their home country.
  2. Applicants must have completed secondary education qualifying for university admission (high school graduate or equivalent).
    (For those wishing to enter Japanese universities, completion of 12 years of formal education is required.)
  3. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  4. Applicants must submit proof of at least 150 hours of Japanese language study or have passed JLPT N4 or higher.
  5. Applicants must have a financial supporter (in their home country or Japan) capable of covering expenses during their stay.

Selection Process

Interviews and written examinations may also be conducted after the issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility. If applicants are deemed unsuitable for admission based on the results, their admission may be revoked. Please continue studying Japanese even after the certificate has been issued.

Documents Required for Application

Applicants must prepare the following documents.

  5. Submitted documents will not be returned.
  6. Please submit explanatory documents at the time of application.
  7. False information will result in disqualification.
